The Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Detroit Pistons at home last night 113-93. For Joel Embiid and the Sixers, that’s their sixth straight win and they’re back in the top five in the East. They are just one game behind fourth-place Brooklyn and two and a half games behind the third-seeded Cavaliers. With their success, the Sixers have been linked with a “win-now” trade scenario that could land the former NBA champion on the team.
Philly has the league’s third-best defense and fourth-best three-point percentage. We wouldn’t be saying the same thing about them a few weeks ago. James Harden, Tyrese Maxey, and Joel Embiid were all out at one point and it was a terrible season for the 76ers. With their recent success, the Sixers may be looking to add another key piece to the playoffs online.
NBA betting sites have the 76ers at (+2000) to win the Finals this season.
It’s six in a row.

The Sixers have been linked with this former NBA champion in a ‘win-now’ trade.
According to Sean Devaney of Heavy Sports, the player the Sixers want is Bulls guard Alex Caruso.
“The person concerned is (Alex) Caruso”… “If [Chicago] He could get some draft capital back for Caruso and possibly a player. Teams like Phoenix or Miami, both would be in a position to make a trade like that. Even the Warriors can send a young guy like (James) Wiseman to get into win-now mode. – Sean Devaney
The Sixers hinted that they could touch some of their youngsters, such as Matthysse Tybull and Shayk Milton. Caruso is a good fit for the 76ers. He is a cheap two-way player compared to other NBA player contracts. The 28-year-old is making $9 million this season and is in the second year of a four-year, $36 million deal. He also has a fourth-year player option.
