Norris signed a multi-year contract extension earlier this year to stay with McLaren until the end of the 2025 season. After recently revealing preliminary talks with Red Bull about a race seat, Norris insisted it was nothing more than a casual conversation.
“I talked to them, I talked to a few people,” Norris said. But it’s just like chat chat. It’s not an immediate ‘what shall we do’ kind of thing.

Red Bull team principal Christian Horner said the team had held several speculative discussions with Norris over the years regarding the possibility of competing with his team.
“We spoke to Landon a couple of times over the years, but each time we spoke he signed a contract with McLaren the next day,” Horner said. “He’s on a long-term contract with McLaren and it looks like he’ll be there for a few years.”

IndyCar’s feeder series, Indy Lights, has been rebranded as ‘Indy NXT’ until its next season. The championship’s branding refresh is intended to “inspire and connect with Generation Z and young talent.”
The 2023 Indy NXT Series will run as originally scheduled, starting on March 5 alongside the IndyCar Series in St. Petersburg. This year’s series champion was Linus Lundqvist.

Formula 1 extends AWS data partnership
Formula 1 has extended its partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and new graphics will debut at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix later this month.
AWS FOM provides data points as visual graphics on the world’s feed coverage, including telemetry analysis of competitive drivers through the corner, pass failure forecasts, planned well stop results, and more.
From the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, AWS will introduce new ‘track dominance’ graphics, which will visually show which microsectors each driver is around.
