“I don’t know,” former heavyweight multi-titleist Anthony Joshua said recently. DAZN As for when he will return to action. “I should have been in the ring this year, I will be in the ring next year.” Joshua made a point to avoid exceptions. “When I’m in the ring, I’m in the ring,” he said. “I don’t want to make a statement today and then I will take him to the cross. Do you know what I mean? I’ll get back in the ring when I’m ready.” Joshua made it clear that there are many issues affecting him in his life and outside of the ring.
“My life is complicated. Boxing is a bit complicated for me,” he said. But Joshua said that it was not to criticize those around him. “When I’m boxing, everyone is trying to make the most of this time and they’re doing a good job,” he said. In the year In their first fight in 2021, Joshua lost a rematch against Oleksandr Usyk. Now, some time since last August’s rematch, the towering Englishman seems to be in a slightly brighter mood.
“It affects my ring moves,” Joshua said. DAZN From the issues that distract him at the moment. “So I’m always trying to push that thing. It’s a test. I’m trying to figure it out this year, so I can only focus on next year. Joshua was suddenly offered a big fight against WBC and lineal heavyweight champion Tyson Fury a few weeks ago. But the negotiations broke down. That being said, with Fury looking to get the feud down before the end of the year and Joshua still coming off a grueling bout with Usyk, many don’t think the fight will take place.
“I’m not the champion and it hurts,” Joshua said (boldly). DAZN. “So I’m in the gym rebuilding and reconfiguring everything I need to do in and out of the ring.” Despite the competition, Joshua made it clear that he is confident about his future. “I’ve just got to ease up on a lot of things outside of the ring,” he said.
