WONJU, South Korea — Ataya Titikul shot five birdies on the back nine Saturday to take a one-shot lead into the final day of the BMW Ladies Championship.
The 19-year-old Thai shot a 5-under 67 in the third round with a total of 15-under 201, followed by both Lydia Ko and Andrea Lee.
“You can be in contention every week, but you can’t win every week, so just work real hard, do your best out there and enjoy the last 18 holes,” said Titikul, who finished at 9-under. 63 on the first day.
Titikul made three in a row from No. 13 to take the lead after a stunning run of birdies.
Ko, a 17-time LPGA Tour winner, shot a bogey-free 66 to stay in contention.
Lee, the overnight leader, failed to match her two identical rounds of 66 on Saturday when she made three bogeys and five birdies for a 70.
