Boston Celtics coach Imme Udokan may be suspended for the 2022-23 season after allegedly engaging in a consensual relationship with a female staff member, according to NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski.
Boston Celtics coach Ime Udoka could face a suspension through the 2022-2023 season for his role in an affair with a female teammate, sources told ESPN. A formal announcement is expected from today.

Boston will name assistant coach Joe Mazzula as interim coach while Udoka serves out Wojciech’s suspension. Udoka Boston finished first in the 2022 NBA Finals, falling in six games to the Golden State Warriors. Boston went from being a .500 team in January to finishing as the second seed in the Eastern Conference Finals.

After Boston announced the suspension of Udoka for the season, the distraught coach apologized for putting the Celtics “in this difficult situation” and to the players, fans and families for “defying” them.
