The Cleveland Cavaliers are 18-11 so far this season, which is second in the Central Division and third in the Eastern Conference. They are 2.5 games back from the Milwaukee Bucks. Cleveland is 6-4 in their last ten games and is flourishing as a team. Former NBA champion Brian Scalabrine had high praise for one of the Cavs’ young stars and said his play reminded him of his Hall of Fame teammate.
Second-year pro Evan Mobley is the underrated player in this league. Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland dominate the teams scoring and may not get as many scoring opportunities. Regardless, Mobley still finds a way to impact the game with his athleticism and size. This is not the first time he has drawn comparisons to Garnett in his young career.
NBA betting sites have the Cavaliers at (+1800) to win the Finals this season.

The former Celtic said he draws Kevin Garnett comparisons to Evan Mobley.
In a recent interview, former Boston Celtics Brian Scalabrine said second-year pro Evan Mobley reminds him of former teammate Kevin Garnett. In the first two seasons, the two have very similar stats. Garnett averaged 10/6/1 his rookie year and 17/8/3 the following season. Mobley is on a similar trajectory, averaging 15/8/2 as a starter last season and 15/9/3 in 29 games this season. Scalabrine said this.
“His game reminds me of me. He can do everything, and he takes pride in doing everything. So that guy scares me.” – Brian Scalabrine.
As an NBC Sports broadcast analyst covering the Celtics, Scalabrine gets to see the NBA’s best talent up close and personal every night. The Celtics faced the Cavs earlier in the season and lost both times. Those are two of seven losses for the NBA-best record Celtics this season. Mobley leads the Cavaliers in (1.3) this season.
