The Los Angeles Clippers have unveiled new statement edition uniforms for the 2022-23 season. On the front of the jersey, the words “Los Angeles” were designed by LA tattoo artist Mr. Cartoon. So the wordmark is making a comeback.
Additionally, for the 2019-20 season, Mr. Cartoon’s wordmark appeared on Clips City Edition jerseys for the first time. However, “Los Angeles” appeared as a black wordmark on the white jerseys.

Then, for the 2020–21 season, the Clippers wore uniforms with white lettering on black jerseys. The new statement edition uniforms are identical to those worn in the 2020-21 season.
A white canvas design can also be seen on the shorts and the sides of the jersey. Beginning with the 2017-18 season, “CLIPPER NATION” is printed on the label of each uniform.
Not to mention, the full-color main icon logo is on the left side of the shorts.
According to the team’s website, the red and blue stripe around the left and right arms of the jersey represent the lighthouses.

The Clippers are slated to wear a black statement edition jersey when they host the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday, November 9.
In fact, the State Edition Courthouse Mr. Cartoon wordmark will appear for 10 home games throughout the season. This court design is for select Wednesday and Thursday games.
According to the Clips’ official Twitter account, the new uniforms better suit the City of Angels. “This uniform reflects the team’s leadership mindset, consistent style of basketball and commitment to the city of Los Angeles,” the Clippers tweeted.
