The Atlanta Hawks are one game over .500 this season at 13-12. That puts them in first place in the Southeast Division and fifth in the Eastern Conference. Injuries were more common than Atlanta probably wanted it to be this season. In a 113-89 loss on the road to the Knicks on Wednesday, the Hawks lost one of their stars to an ankle injury.
Atlanta quarterback Dejonte Murray is out for two weeks with a left ankle injury. He is a tall guard who is explosive and can grab rebounds on players bigger than him. Murray is the second leading scorer for the Hawks in points per game (20.8). The one-time All-Star has the second-highest assists (6.2) and leads the team in steals (1.8). His production is going to be sorely missed with the other injuries the team is dealing with.
NBA betting sites have the Hawks at (+5000) to win the Finals this season.
Hawks All-Star Dejonte Murray could miss two weeks with left ankle sprain, sources tell me @sam_amick. Atlanta is now without Murray, John Collins (ankle) and De’Andre Hunter (hip).

Dejounte Murray is out for two weeks with an ankle injury
The Atlanta Hawks released this statement regarding the injury to Lee Wednesday night.
“Dejonte Murray injured his left ankle in last night’s game. He had an MRI today confirming the presence of swelling in his left ankle. Murray will stay for about 2 weeks and the condition will improve accordingly. – Atlanta Hawks
Atlanta enters Wednesday night’s game already missing John Collins and De’Andre Hunter. Losing Murray was another big blow to the team for the time being. The Hawks were down by nearly 30 points in parts of the game against the Knicks. It was their fifth loss in seven games. They will have a chance to redeem themselves tonight when they face the Brooklyn Nets at 7:30.
Hard times never last. 💯🙏🏽🖤

Trae Young had this to say about seeing his teammate go down against New York.
“We were really trying to figure out the rhythm with Dejonte, and it’s tough with guys getting in and out now,” … great.” – Trae Young
