The Philadelphia 76ers are 12-12 this season and 5-5 in their last ten games. Phil is also on a three game losing streak. They have lost all of their games on a three-game road trip and will be on the road for seven games next Friday. Injuries have forced Doc Rivers to change his lineup and he gave an update to Tyrese Maxey today.
Max has missed the last 9 games with a broken left leg. He said the recovery schedule on 11/19 was 3-4 weeks until he was reassessed. With nine games to go, Maxey is still Philly’s second leading scorer behind Joel Embiid. The Sixers will be eager to get back into the lineup.
NBA betting sites have the 76ers at (+2200) to win the Finals this season.

Tyrese Maxey is still working to be ready to play.
At practice today, head coach Doc Rivers updated the media on Mexi’s condition and possible return.
“He ran today (Wednesday),”… “He still didn’t jump, which is a concern, but he ran today.” He didn’t run, but he ran up and down the floor. He couldn’t do that. The only thing I think is that he hasn’t jumped yet, which is a long way off to say the least. ” – Doc Rivers
Now, “far way” can mean a lot of different things and Rivers doesn’t exactly explain what he means by that, but he did follow up on it.
“I don’t know that,…” “It’s two games away from me. I don’t even know what I’d say if I gave you a 2-week thing, but I’ll only know when you don’t run and jump. – Dock rivers
Maxey was able to start shooting basketball two days ago, and his coach said he was going “crazy” not being able to play. Returning before the New Year may seem like the most realistic option for him.
