When asked if he watches the MVP race, the Dallas Mavericks star revealed that he watches EuroLeague more than NBA games. In other words, Doncic doesn’t really pay attention to what his fellow NBA MVP candidates are doing, explaining that EuroLeague games get most of his attention.
“It’s not true. I watch some NBA games, but I watch EuroLeague more than the NBA. But if there’s a really good NBA game on TV, I’ll watch it,” he added.

When asked to elaborate on his earlier thoughts on the NBA, the Slovenian insisted on making comparisons to what he experienced as a player in the EuroLeague. “In Europe it’s a lot of team basketball, it’s more tactical basketball, but it’s very different because the court is smaller, the rules are different and you have less time.”
I don’t doubt Doncic admits that players in the NBA are generally better and more technical, unless many of the rules are the same. “Playing in the NBA, you play against guys that are almost impossible to guard. “It’s easier to score in the NBA, I’d say because of the rules, but there are better players here in the NBA,” he said on JJ Redick’s The Old Man and The Three interview series last year.
Return from illness
The Slovenian star has been battling some allergies for the past week, but nothing serious is keeping him off the court. His performance looked hurt last week in Dallas’ 124-95 loss to Boston, but he looked better last Saturday as he finished with 34 points, 10 rebounds and a win over the Pelicans.
“She’s a little sick. It’s just allergies, so I’m taking some medicine. I felt especially good today,” Doncic shared after the Mavericks’ final game.
