Memphis Grizzlies guard Desmond Bane (sprained toe) has been upgraded to questionable for Friday night’s road game against the Phoenix Suns. The TCU product has missed the past 17 games.
Danny Green (knee) is also listed as questionable on the Memphis injury report. Green has yet to make his 2022-23 season debut in Bluff City. While with the Sixers last season, the three-time NBA champion tore his left ACL and LCL in his knee.

Before his sprained toe, Bane was averaging 24.7 points, 4.9 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game. Additionally, he shot 46.5% from the floor and a career-best 45.1% from beyond the arc.
On October 24, in the Grizzlies’ 134–124 win over the Brooklyn Nets, the guard scored a career-high 38 points in 33 minutes of action. In addition to collecting seven assists, Bane shot 14-of-21 (66.7%) from the field and 8-of-11 (72.7%) from 3-point range.

Also, Friday’s game between the Suns and Grizzlies is the first of four in the series this season. Memphis is 8-8 against Western Conference opponents this season, while Phoenix is 16-8 in intra-conference matchups.
A further review of the Suns’ injury report listed four players as questionable: Devin Booker (groin), Cameron Payne (foot), Josh Okogie (hip) and Joc Landale (concussion).

Jae Crowder (hamstring), Cameron Johnson (knee) and Dwayne Washington Jr. (hip) are out indefinitely. Phoenix needs a healthy roster. The Suns are 4-6 in their last 10 games.
Also, Grizzlies are 6-3 in their last 9 games against Phoenix. And Memphis is 11-2 in 13 games this month. In contrast, the Suns are 14-4 in their last 18 home games. However, Phoenix is 1-5 in its last six contests on Fridays.
Sportsbooks have not yet released betting lines for this game. According to the ESPN Basketball Power Index, the Suns have a 51.9% chance of winning at home against the Grizzlies.
