Damian Lillard reiterated his love and commitment to the Portland Trail Blazers, saying winning a championship somewhere else wouldn’t feel good.
Lillard played 29 regular season games last year and averaged 24 points, 4.1 rebounds and 7.3 assists per game. The 32-year-old had a year where he shot just 40% from the field and 32% from beyond the arc.
Six-time NBA All-Star He was drafted by Portland in 2012 with the sixth overall pick, in a draft class named by ring owners Anthony Davis, Draymond Green and Khris Middleton.
Portland could open up as a popular free agent destination next summer, with a promising young core bolstered by Jeremy Grant, Jusuf Nurkic, Gary Payton II and Josh Hart.
“I want to win as a track Blazer“ Lillard told Ring. I want to win the championship where I am. I don’t think I would have felt the same joy and happiness I did anywhere else. I will be happy, no doubt. Like winning a chip, you get that experience. But I know how I want it.”

Lillard won the MVP award at +4000 for the first time in NBA betting and has had some strong finishes in voting for the award over the years. 6th (2020-21), 8th (2019-20), 6th (2018-19), 4th (2017-18), 8th (2015-16).
The Guardian’s message is simple: Be honest in everything. But in what looks to be a strong Western Conference, the Blazers will have to bring their A-game in every game of their 82 regular season if Lillard is to have a chance at glory.
