The LA Lakers are always the center of attention when LeBron James is in the team. Regardless of their record during the season, the media and fans have something to say about them. It gets worse when you expect the team to be a playoff contender and they’re not even top ten in the Western Conference. It was a rough season for the Lakers at 13-17. They are 5-5 in their last ten games and star Anthony Davis suffered a right foot injury against the Denver Nuggets on Friday night.
If the rumors are true, it could be a serious blow to the Lakers’ season. Initially, NBA legend Shams Charania said that Davis could miss at least a month with this right leg injury. Now, there is concern that he could actually miss two to three months, and with the way the season has gone so far, L.A. will have a hard time recovering from that. Lakers fans are hoping to hear good news about his leg injury in the near future.
NBA betting sites have the Lakers at (+3300) to win the Finals this season.

Davis missing 2-3 months will almost certainly end the Lakers season.
Davis has played in 25 of the Lakers’ 30 games this season and has been on a tear. Davis still leads the Lakers in points (27.4), rebounds (12.1), steals (1.3) and blocks (2.1) per game. He also played the second-most minutes per game (33.4) of any Laker this season. Head coach Darwin Hamm moved Davis to center this season and it worked out well for the team. Hamm talked about the eight-time All-Star injury.
“The first priority is to take care of his health”… “To hell with what people say. We have an amazing medical staff with really talented people in the organization making sure he’s getting the best care, and once we know what’s going on, we act accordingly. It’s still early.” It is, and the business must be looked after first and foremost by getting it back to health.-Darwin Hamm
With Davis missing at least a month for the Lakers, LeBron James will have to step up and carry the team as best he can and it won’t get any easier for him as he gets older. There isn’t as much talent on the team as James has in the past. Others like Russell Westbrook and Austin Reaves are called upon to try and make an impact. The Lakers are hoping for good news as Davis’ injury progresses.
