The Philadelphia 76ers are 25-16 this season and 6-4 in their last ten games. Sometimes injuries derail their season, but their star players are all back on the court now. Philly came out sluggish last night and couldn’t take advantage of a struggling Oklahoma City Thunder team. In the 133-114 loss, Sixers guard James Harden broke the team record previously held by Wilt Chamberlain and Maurice Cheeks.
Harden finished last night with a 24/15/6 stat line, breaking the 76ers record for most 15+ assist games in a season. He’s a game-changing three-time scoring champion, which is why he’ll lead the Sixers in assists per game (11.2) in 2022-23.
NBA betting sites have the 76ers at (+1600) to win the Finals this season.

James Harden breaks 76ers record for 15+ assists in a season
The ten-time All-Star averages 12.5 rebounds per game (12.5) over the past decade and is the all-time leading scorer for the Sixers. He has not played as many games as other stars of the league, which is why he is currently unable to lead the league in assists. Tyrese Haliburton is currently averaging (10.2) assists for the Indiana Pacers.
Philly previously had two players combined for 15+ assist games in a season. Wilt Chamberlain did it in (1967-68) and Morris Cheeks did it in (1987-88). Harden’s record is even more impressive given that he has only played in 26 games this season. At this rate, he’s about to give up the hardest record to beat.
