New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson (hip) is ready to play in Monday’s game against the Phoenix Suns. The fifth-year player is listed as questionable on the injury report. Brunson has missed the past three games with a sore right hip.
In 34 starts in New York, the guard is averaging 20.2 points, 6.6 assists and 1.1 steals per game. In addition to averaging 3.2 rebounds per game, Brunson is shooting 46% from the field and 36.6% from beyond the arc. His usage percentage is also a career-best 25.8%.
According to two NBA betting sites, the Knicks have the 11th-lowest odds to win the championship. At a few sportsbooks, the Atlanta Hawks and Miami Heat are likely to qualify for the postseason.

“That’s the nature of the league,” Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau said after the win. You win eight in a row and then you have some tough losses… that’s part of it. How do you respond to it? We returned with a haymaker.
“I thought our ball pressure was a lot better and that got us going. Guys played really hard and played very unselfishly.”
