The New York Knicks are 5-5 in their last ten games and are on a mini three game winning streak. In the year Luka Doncic tries to steal the ball from RJ Barrett as the New York Knicks play the Dallas Mavericks on 12/27. In the process, he rammed into Donick Barrett and dislodged his finger. New York was without him after the injury, but he gave important information to the media about his finger.
He cut his hand on the cracked finger and started bleeding. Without Barrett, the Knicks are 3-2 and that’s because of Julius Randle and Jalen Brunson. Behind that duo, Barrett (19.7) is the next highest scorer per game on the team. New York sports betting sites have the Knicks at (+12500) to win the playoffs this season.

RJ Barrett gives media update on finger injury before New York’s game against Toronto
Barrett knows this was an accident by Doncic and nothing was intentional. He explained how it was his own hand that caused the rash on his finger. The Athletic’s Fred Katz filed this report after speaking with Barrett earlier today.
Talked with RJ Barrett in Toronto this morning. RJ said Luca’s hand didn’t cause the wound. RJ’s left hand knocked out his right hand, causing a finger on his right hand to dislodge. When he was displaced, the bone cut his hand. He got six stitches, which are still there. – Fred Katz
The 22-year-old said the only thing holding him back at the moment is his seam, which he says is working and shooting. Barrett said he’s going to see a doctor “later this week” and says they won’t need much time in the process when the stitches come out. After tonight’s game, the Knicks have back-to-back games on Monday and Wednesday, either of which will put Barrett back in the lineup.
