The New York Knicks are 15-13 this season after a 129-120 OT win against the Chicago Bulls last night. New York is 6-4 in their last ten games and is on a five game winning streak. That puts them sixth in the Eastern Conference. It’s been a struggle for one Knicks guard to get playing time this season. Derrick Rose found himself missing a spot in the rotation.
Derrick Rose has been through everything in his career. At one point, he was one of the most popular players in the league and took the NBA by storm, winning the 2010-11 MVP. In his life, he suffered injuries that took him away from his prime playing days. Regardless, Rose will always be a fan favorite. His acting career seems to be on the tail end.

Derrick Rose talks about the rotation position and life after basketball
Rose has been used sparingly by head coach Tom Thibodeau this season. In 2022-23, the three-time star is averaging just (6.4) points and (13.6) minutes per game. These are the second lowest totals of his career. His lowest was the 2017-18 season where he played just 9 games. He played in 21 games this season. The 34-year-old’s career high is 13 this year.
He is a very humble basketball player. Deuce McBride has seen minutes that Rose would normally play, and the veteran is fine with that. McBride mentioned how he spent Thanksgiving with his family.
“i had [Deuce] Last year it was over for Thanksgiving. Very good with family members. I like the way he plays. If I hate any kind of fashion, I feel the way. So I’m happy with it. – Derrick Rose
Rose said he’s not listening to trade rumors and won’t let that affect him.
If we lose, maybe (paying attention to the rumours). But I like to win. I am a winner. I love being around the locker room where the vibe is winning.” – Derrick Rose
In terms of life after basketball, Rose said he now “feels good” and wants to step away from the game and work happily, according to his contract.
