LeBron James and the LA Lakers are trying to save the season as much as possible until Anthony Davis returns. The Lakers are 7-5 without him this season and are on a five-game hitting streak. The eight-time All-Star has not played since 12/16, but said the team is now beginning the process of getting Davis back on the court.
In 25 games this season, Davis is averaging 21/12/3 with (1.3) steals and (2.1) blocks per game. Davis was doing everything for the Lakers and was doing elite level before the leg injury.
The best case scenario for the Lakers would be to get Davis back a week or two before the All-Star break and get a few games under his belt before the second half of the season. California sports betting sites have the Lakers at (+2500) to win the Finals this season.
Anthony Davis’ right leg is on the mend and he reportedly plans to begin the process of making a comeback this week.
There is “optimism” from the Lakers that the recovery process will only take two weeks before AD returns to game action.

Anthony Davis of the Lakers to begin the development process
Anthony Davis last played for the Lakers on 12/16 when he was injured against the Denver Nuggets. It’s surprising since they’re on the road to face the Nuggets, who will be playing their 13th straight game tonight. The injury was described as a fracture of the navicular bone in the right leg with a stress reaction.
The 29-year-old man was later treated for gunshot wounds. During the detox process, he engages in exercises in pools and anti-gravity treadmills. LA wants to remove all weight from the leg while it continues to heal. Hopefully this will only be a couple of weeks until Davis is back.
Center Thomas is filling in for Davis in Bryant’s absence and finding a way to be effective for them. He made 14 starts on the season. During the Lakers’ current five-game winning streak, Bryant is averaging (21.2) points and (13.6) rebounds per game. Teammate LeBron James had this to say about Bryant’s contribution to the team.
“From my own front court, I’ve already seen what AD and Thomas could be like on the floor together…”… “I think it could be very beneficial for our ball club.” – LeBron James
Davis and Bryant haven’t been on the court together a single minute this season. The Lakers will do their best to win games until Anthony Davis returns.
