Thanks to Leclerc, Binotto is going
Leclerc thanked Binotto in a post on social media yesterday after Ferrari announced the team principal’s resignation.
“Thank you for everything,” said Leclerc, who joined Ferrari in 2019 in his first year as coach.
“We’ve had four very intense years together, including moments of great satisfaction and also times of temptation,” he continued.
“My respect and admiration for you never fails, and we will always work with full commitment to achieve the same goals. Good luck in everything.”
“It’s good,” says Alonso as he walks away from Alpine.

The pair spent two seasons together at Alpine, but Alonso has moved to Aston Martin for 2023. Although Alonso outscored his team-mate last year, Ocon took the team’s first win and is the top points-scoring driver this season.
Alonso’s time at the team ended with a tough weekend of racing. After clashing with Ocon at the Brazilian Grand Prix, Alonso said he was waiting to leave the team.
“Of course I was disappointed by his comments in the press,” Okon told Oust France. “We have not had any discussion on these matters. I maintain my respect for him.
“It’s good to go to Aston Martin and go our separate ways. Honestly, the work was 98% on my back and 2% on his. I was busy. I did all the development in the simulator, on shopping trips.
