A Georgia amateur golfer has seen a golfer’s dream show up in his mailbox every weekend leading up to the Masters.
The invite actually went to PGA Tour pro Scott Stallings, who qualified for the Tour Championship, which ends in 2022, rounding out the Masters field.
On Tuesday, the real Scott Stallings tweeted that he was checking his inbox five times a day for the invitation, which he never received. Augusta National Golf Club reached out to Stallings on Instagram to let him know the other person had it after mistakenly sending it to his home.
“Hi Scott,” the man wrote. “My name is Scott Stallings and I’m from [Georgia]. My wife’s name is Jennifer! …I received a FedEx today inviting me to play in the Masters tournament from April 6-9, 2023. [100%] I’m sure this is not for me. I play but wow! [Nowhere] near your level.”

The man offered to pass on the invitation to Stallings.
“It’s a great package with everything you need to participate,” the person wrote. I think we have some confusion because of our name, wife’s name and geographical location.
Stallings, 37, has won three times on the PGA Tour, most recently at the 2014 Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines. Stallings, ranked 54th in the world, last played at the 2014 Masters when he missed the tournament. In the year In his only event in 2012, he tied for 27th at Augusta National.
