The Oklahoma City Thunder are 11-16 so far in the 2022-23 season and 4-6 in their last ten games. The team is also on a three-game losing streak and has played its last five on the road. Last night the Thunder lost to the Mavericks 121-114. After yesterday’s 42-point shutout of OKC, Mavs superstar Luka Doncic had high praise for Thunder PG Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
OKC’s young star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is building on his success in the league each season. He’s gotten better every year and it’s only a matter of time before a serious competitor makes a trade for him. Gilgeous-Alexander scored a career-high 42 points in last night’s loss to the Mavs. He went 14-23 from the field and 13-13 from the free throw line. Doncic was very impressed with him after the game and had only good things to say.
NBA betting sites have Mavericks at (+2800) and Thunder at (+75000) to win the Finals this season.

Luca has high praise for Thunder Tea Gilgeous-Alexander.
The Thunder’s PG tried to do everything he could to help his team win, but Doncic’s 38 points, 11 rebounds, and 8 assists led the way against OKC. Doncic had only good things to say about Gilgeous-Alexander last night in the postgame.
“He’s a complete player”… “He’s playing at his own pace. He’s incredible at drawing offense just by playing at his own pace. It’s amazing to watch, and he’s been doing it all season, before. So he is beautiful to look at. ” – Luka Doncic
Only one player in the league now averages more points per game than Shay (31.2). That would be none other than Luka Doncic, who has points per game (33.1) this season. Luca Gilgeous-Alexander has noticed that he has the ability to score in the paint at will and attack the rim.
For the 2022-23 season, Gilgeous-Alexander leads the NBA in drives per game, and is in the top five for free throws made, free throws attempted and points in the paint. If he continues to have a dominant season for the Thunder, he could earn his first All-Star selection.
