An unidentified woman is taking court alleging Mike Tyson molested her in a limousine in the early 1990s. The woman who accused the former heavyweight champion in civilian clothes said she met Tyson in the early 90s with a friend at a New York club called Septembers. “My friend and I used to hang out with him and the limousine driver,” the woman said in an indictment filed in Albany County Court in the first week of January. “Tyson told us about a party and asked us to join him. My friend was going to drop her off, and Tyson said he would pick her up in a limousine.
The woman said that once in the limo, Tyson started coming on to her. After she told him to stop, the woman said, “He then took off my pants and violently assaulted me.” The woman said the incident left her with a lot of physical, emotional and psychological drama. She also said she wishes to remain anonymous. “Tyson is a famous celebrity and I know I will be attacked by the media and all his friends,” she said. If convicted, Tyson could owe the woman $5 million, which she is suing her for. New York has long allowed victims of sexual assault to pursue legal justice known as the “Adult Survivors Act.”
