KING ABDULLAH ECONOMIC CITY, Saudi Arabia — Peter Uhlein took a one-shot lead entering the final day of the LIV Golf Invitational-Jeddah with a 7-under 63 in Saturday’s second round.
The American made seven birdies and an eagle to make up for a double bogey on the 13th hole at the Royal Greens Golf and Country Club in King Abdullah Economic City.
Uihlein took over from former leader Brooks Koepka, who had a 3-under 67.
Sergio Garcia (64) and Charl Schwartzl (67) went three-for-one.
This is the seventh and final LIV Golf Invitational for individual and team play. The last event of the opening season will be in Miami in two weeks for four-person teams.
LIV Golf is sponsored by Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund, but this is the first tournament held in Saudi Arabia after previous events in London, Portland, Bedminster, Boston, Chicago and Bangkok.
