No higher license for Hertha.
The FIA has confirmed it has rejected Colton Hertha’s request for a Formula 1 superlicence. The Andretti driver finished third in the IndyCar series in 2020, became the youngest race winner in 2018 and has since claimed six more wins in the championship.
“The FIA will confirm that an inquiry has been made through the appropriate channel, which has led to the FIA confirming that the driver, Colton Herta, does not have the number of points required to issue the FIA Super License,” the spokesperson said.
“The FIA continuously reviews its rules and procedures, including Super License eligibility, with the main considerations in this topic being safety, experience and performance in the context of the track.”

“I don’t have enough words to thank you [Red Bull] And Helmut Marko for showing me the way of discipline, dedication and hard work… helping me to reach other goals in my life, in my music and being who I am today without being 100% sure. [Red Bull].
“When competing at the highest level, whether it’s F1 or football, rugby or golf, it takes an extremely demanding mind to seek greater performance. Even if you win.” [Red Bull] It wants you higher and higher and higher…”
