Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has reportedly suffered a Grade 2 left MCL sprain, according to the OKC Thunder.
The Thunder’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has a 2nd grade residual MCL tear and will miss the start of training camp, the team said.

Playing in the FIBA World Cup Qualifier, SGA defeated Team Canada 8-0. Last season, Gilgeous-Alexander averaged 24.5 points, 50 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game before being sidelined for the rest of the season with an ankle injury. The 24-year-old point guard was the cover athlete for SLAM Canada 1.
Oklahoma begins training camp on Sept. 27 and opens the regular season against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
