The Brooklyn Nets are 17-12 so far this season, which is second in the Atlantic Division and fourth in the Eastern Conference. Kevin Durant and the Nets are 8-2 in their last ten games, including their last four straight. Tonight, the Nets will be in Toronto to face their in-state rival at 7:30 p.m. Brooklyn had a miraculous win against the Indiana Pacers on 12/10; The Nets won 136-133. They rested eight players for that game, but were heavily penalized for breaking the rules.
Last Saturday, the Nets rested almost all of their key players to name a few. The league announced that Brooklyn was fined $25,000 for “not complying with league policies governing injury reporting” regarding eight players who did not play due to rest. A player or two makes sense, but Brooklyn is likely to leave several players in doubt.

Nets fined $25k for “non-compliance with league policy”.
In a statement with the New York Post, Brooklyn Nets head coach Jacques Vaughn said that his team’s defensive action will rest most of its key players.
“So it’s just a combination that’s adding up all at once,”… “But as a company, we’re going to put out the best product as often as possible and we’re going to continue to do that. “It’s more than just one, two or three people that happened tonight,” he said. – Jacques Von
The coach said that the injuries the players are dealing with have been well documented in the past. He explained that Seth Curry and Joe Harris are both resting on ankle surgery during the offseason. Additionally, Nick Claxton had a personal issue with Lad Hamtrent’s tightness from last game and Royce O’Neill missing out. Finally, Kevin Durant is leading the league in minutes played and simply needed the night off to get some much needed rest.
