The Boston Celtics have signed free agent Bruno Caboclo to a training camp contract. The seven-year veteran was selected 20th overall by the Toronto Raptors in the 2014 NBA Draft.
According to Ryan Mahan of SJ-R Sports, Caboclo became the third player in NBA history named Bruno to play for the Celtics. The other two players are Massachusetts native Bruno Sandov and Houston Rockets center Bruno Fernando.

In 105 career games, shooting 40.3% from the field and 30.8% from beyond the arc, Caboclo also averaged 4.2 points and 2.6 rebounds per game.
In his rookie 2014-15 season with the Raptors, Caboclo averaged 1.3 points per game in eight games off the bench. In fact, the forward only featured in six games the following season.
In the 2016–17 season, through 9 games, Caboclo averaged 1.6 points and 1.1 rebounds per game.

In the year Later that year, Caboclo signed a 10-season contract with the Houston Rockets.
However, the Rockets waived the 6’9″ forward on October 13th.
On January 24, 2019, Caboclo signed a 10-day contract with the Memphis Grizzlies. When his contract expired, the striker signed another 10-day contract with the team.
Then on February 13, he signed a multi-year contract with the Grizzlies. However, Caboclo only played 22 games with them the following season.
The Brazilian spends most of his time with the Maine Celtics of the NBA G League.
Additionally, after averaging 2.8 points and 2 rebounds in the 2019-20 season, the Grizzlies front office decided to trade him to the Houston Rockets for Jordan Bell and a 2023 second-round draft pick.
With the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, the Rockets’ G League affiliate, Caboclo averaged 16.4 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.4 steals and 3.1 blocks in 28 games.
Additionally, the forward signed a contract with the Rockets on November 25, 2020. But his time with Houston was short-lived.
The Rockets left Caboclo on January 14, 2021.
In the year On August 14, 2021, the striker signed with Sao Paulo FC from Nabo Basque Brasil (NBB). He averaged 23.9 points, 11.1 rebounds and 3.6 blocks per game. His team won the 2021-22 BCL Americas Championship.
The 24-year-old can still play at a high level.
