The Detroit Pistons have officially announced a two-year, $39.1 million contract extension for Bojan Bogdanovic. On Sunday, he signed his new multi-year contract that runs through the 2024-25 season.
The second year of the former’s new deal is worth $19.03 million if certain conditions are met. Therefore, it is partially confirmed; $2 million is the starting amount. The full amount is expected by the end of June 2024.
According to some NBA betting sites, the Pistons have the eighth lowest odds to win the championship in 2023. After a 2-5 start to the season, few sportsbooks gave up on their chances of making the postseason.

The eight-year veteran is currently in the final year of his first contract. In the year In 2019, Bogdanovic signed a four-year, $73.1 million contract with the Utah Jazz.
Of course, in September the forward was traded to the Pistons for cash, Saben Lee and Kelly Olynk. His salary this season with Detroit is $19.55 million.
Bogdanovic was selected 31st overall by the Miami Heat in the 2011 NBA Draft. However, his draft rights were traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves and then to the New Jersey Nets.

After being drafted in the first round, he played his first three professional seasons in the Euroleague. Bogdanovic averaged 9 points and 2.7 boards in 78 games during his rookie 2014-15 NBA season.
He was then selected to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team. Following three seasons with the Nets, the Pistons wing played for the Washington Wizards (2016–17 season) and Indiana Pacers (2017–19).
Bogdanovic’s best performances statistically were against Utah. In 63 starts during the 2019-20 season, the forward averaged 20.2 points and 2.1 assists.

Last season, in 69 starts with the Jazz, the forward averaged 18.1 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists. He also shot 45.5% from the floor and 38.7% from beyond the arc.
On January 5, 2022, in Utah’s 115–109 win over the Denver Nuggets, the wing scored a game-high 36 points in 40 minutes of action. He shot 12 of 20 (60%) from the field and sank one 3-pointer.
In seven games with the Pistons this season, Bogdanovic is averaging 22.7 points, 3.4 boards and 2.1 assists. He is shooting 52.6% from the floor and 50.9% from 3-point range.
