The Philadelphia 76ers are 7-7 and have won three of their four games so far this season. Philly has a new big-three this season with the combination of Joel Embiid, James Harden and Tyrese Maxey. All three will play at least 35 minutes per game for the Sixers this season. One rookie on the team remains in the rear-view mirror this season and his name is now cropping up in trade talks.
NBA veteran PF Tobias Harris’ name has been brought up in trade rumors recently, and his role is slowly diminishing for the 76ers. Last season, Tyrese Massey had an off season for the Sixers and Tobias Harris started to lag. Maxey, Harden and Embiid are the new big-three for the Sixers and it’s not crazy to think Philly could trade Harris soon.
NBA betting sites have the 76ers at (+1800) to win the Finals this season.

Tobias Harris’ name has come up in business talks.
It’s not that Tobias Harris has been terrible for the Sixers this season, he just hasn’t been used as much as he has been in years past. Two years ago, Harris was the second leading scorer behind Joel Embiid. Harris averaged 19.5 points from 2019-2021. Now, his role is significantly reduced for Philly and the team may want to trade him for other assets that can make their team better.
“76ers officials have begun routine check-ins with teams around the league before Dec. 15 to trade signed players as trade talks begin to intensify. Philadelphia’s Tobias Harris has come so far in talks with the 76ers, league sources said. – Shams Charania
A smart trade for the Sixers would be to trade Harris for a top-tier defenseman because the team has scored so much. Harris has played for five different teams in his NBA career and could be in the running for a sixth.
