Former New York Knicks guard Toure Murray has officially announced his retirement from professional basketball after a nine-year career.
In 56 career NBA games, the 6’5″ guard averaged 2.6 points, 0.8 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game. He shot 43.3% from the floor and 41.7% from beyond the arc.
Murry released this retirement statement: “When I first picked up a basketball at age 5, it was the time I felt most alive. Basketball has really given me an escape to become the person I want to be…”

In the year In 2012, Murray left Wichita State. During the 2012–13 season, he played with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in the then Development League (G League).
Additionally, in 52 games with the Vipers, the guard averaged 9 points, 2.8 rebounds, 3 assists and 1.8 steals. The team won the D-League championship in 2013.
On September 11, 2013, he signed with the Knicks as a free agent.
In 51 games off the bench with the Knicks during the 2013-14 season, the guard averaged 2.7 points and 1 assist per game. He averaged 43.4% from the field and 41.7% from 3-point range.
In the year On April 16, 2014, in the Knicks’ 95–92 win over the Toronto Raptors, Murray scored a career-high 15 points in 29 minutes. He finished 6 of 12 (50%) shooting from the field.

Throughout January 2014, he was drafted by the Erie BayHawks of the D-League.
Come August, he signed a two-year contract with the Utah Jazz. But he only appeared in one game.
For the 2014-15 season, the guard played with the Idaho Stampede of the D-League. However, he was later traded to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.

After the Jazz waived Moore, he signed two 10-day contracts with the Washington Wizards in March 2015. The guard was released without a formal contract.
Although he signed a formal contract with the Wizards in September, the team released him the following month after appearing in only three preseason games.
In the year On August 24, 2016, Murray signed a contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves. But the group dropped him after two months.
During the 2015-16 season with the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the D-League, the Skyforce finished with a league-best 40-10 record.
The team went on to defeat the Los Angeles D-Finders in the D-League Finals. Murry won his second D-League title.
From 2016–17, Ture Muri played with Yesilgiresun Belediyespor, a Turkish professional basketball club in the Turkish Basketball Super League.
In addition, the guard has played for various European basketball clubs since 2017 until today. He played professional basketball for teams in Germany, Italy, Sweden, Portugal and Ukraine.
Not to mention, he won two championships overseas in Mexico and Bosnia. For an undrafted player, Murray had a great professional basketball career.
